enforcement of an undertaking as to damages of almost a billion naira against a leading bank with respect to
a Mareva injunction wrongly obtained against the companies.
Member of the team of lawyers that successfully represented a thriving real estate company in a complex law
suit bordering on a purported receivership in relation to over 100 plots of land in one of the biggest
estates in Lagos State.
Represented a leading Bank in a debt recovery matter and obtained a favourable judgement worth hundreds of
millions of naira.
Responsible for the preparation of legal documentation in respect of allocation of land to private and
commercial allottees of 2 leading real estate companies in Nigeria.
Managed corporate governance and regulatory compliance matters for the firm’s corporate clients to ensure
proactive mitigation of risks; provided company secretarial and legal advisory services to the firm’s
corporate clients under Amalgamated Nominees Limited, a company affiliate of the firm.
Conducted due diligence on prospective asset sales and purchases, advised and assisted clients to facilitate
smooth and successful property closings, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements.
Assisted clients to undertake perfection of leases, mortgages, conveyances and other documents of title and
processing of Certificates of Occupancy at the Federal and State Land Registries.
Provided strategic legal advice to clients on all phases of major construction and infrastructure projects.
Assisted clients in negotiation, drafting and review of construction contracts including obtaining relevant
permits and approvals.
Provided transaction counsel and legal advisory to corporate clients on legal issues relating to their
formation, management and operations.
