REPRESENTATIVE WORK

• Represented an oil and gas company in a US$2.8 million ICC arbitration arising from contractual disputes and successfully argued an application for stay of proceedings before the Federal High Court on the ground that contractual dispute resolution mechanisms had not been exhausted.

• Defended a leading Nigerian bank in a ₦20 billion claim arising from allegations of fraudulent electronic transfers.
• Represented a multinational bottling company in a ₦300 million negligence claim at the High Court of Lagos State, which was successfully resolved by way of consent judgment.
• Participated in pre-election and election petition proceedings under the Electoral Act 2022 and Constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria.
• Represented an oil and gas company in a ₦100 million lease dispute and secured judgment under the summary judgment procedure.
• Successfully argued an application for joinder/intervention in proceedings involving the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) in relation to a ₦200 million wrongful attachment claim, securing judgment in favour of the client.
• Represented the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) in a ₦130 million receivership dispute, which was struck out for want of jurisdiction.
• Represented a financial institution in an appeal involving a claim of US$63,500 and successfully obtained a stay of execution pending appeal.
• Prepared and prosecuted appeals and applications for injunction pending appeal, before the Court of Appeal in land disputes.
• Participated in investigations involving allegations of economic and financial crimes.
• Conducted criminal trials and represented clients in proceedings before the High Court of Lagos State involving a broad range of capital offences.
• Represented a State Government in various fundamental rights enforcement actions before the Federal High Court, advising on and defending claims arising from alleged violations of their rights.
• Represented clients before various law enforcement and regulatory agencies in connection with criminal and commercial investigations.
