• Part of a team representing a major commercial bank in Nigeria in an appeal involving a claim worth billions
of naira.
• A member of a team that represented a major IOC in two complex arbitral claims and post arbitral litigations
worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
• Member of team handling a number of litigations and advisory engagements for a major
LNG company.
• Part of team that successfully represented a leading energy company in a suit challenging a legislative resolution issued against
it by the National Assembly.
• Provided wide ranging legal services (in legal advisory, representations relating to Arbitral & litigation claims and general
corporate and commercial questions) for both local and foreign Companies.
• Part of a team representing a Nigerian Energy Company in an appeal challenge its tax liability award by the Tax Appeal Tribunal
running in several millions of United states dollars.
• A member of team representing a consortium of banks on the instruction of major IOC in an ongoing claim
filed at the Federal High Court for breach of contract and tortious infractions with a total cumulative
claim worth tens of billions of dollars.
• A member of team providing legal advisory and support services to a group of companies engaged in the
development, construction, and operation of a greenfield cement plant worth millions of dollars with
associated infrastructure to be developed including power plants, and housing infrastructure.
• Part of a team of lawyers representing a Nigerian company in a claim involving the company and major industry regulator with
regards to the interpretations of relevant statutes with respect liability of the company to pay certain taxes, duties, levies and
imposts and whether the relevant incentives, were applicable.
• Regularly advising and representing diverse portfolio of clients acting in various sectors on a variety of aspects of corporate
legal and commercial issues. The client portfolio includes Nigerian and foreign companies and conglomerates, government authorities
and high net worth individuals. In this regard, I advised various high value companies and individuals (Banks, Oil servicing and
exploration companies etc.) on various corporate and complex commercial transactions.
• Prepared court processes and legal opinions for various clients on litigation covering diverse areas of law including but not
limited to oil spill and enviro pollution, taxation, breach of contract, real estate, criminal litigation, election petitions
complex appeals etc.
• Successfully represented some host communities in an oil spill claim against an IOC and obtained compensation for the community
running into several billions.
• Regularly involved in complex litigations and arbitrations and commercial advisory.
• Member of the team providing of Legal Advisory and Support Services for a Nigerian based Group for its proposed incorporation of
several subsidiary companies in various sectors of the Nigerian economy including Banking and Telecommunications Sector with
estimated projects worth several billions of United States Dollars.
